Kate Ferdinand always gives an honest glimpse into the ups and downs of parenting.
And on Tuesday afternoon the former reality TV personality, 29, who recently welcomed baby Cree with husband Rio Ferdinand, cheekily teased that she was hiding from her and Rio’s brood as she needed a little rest bite.
Kate – who is step-mum to Rio’s children kids Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and Tia, nine – shared that she found a little spot to take five minutes alone as she continues to embark on lockdown life and homeschooling.
The TOWIE personality radiated natural beauty in the make-up free selfie that saw her leaning against a chest of drawers dressed in a form-fitting lycra top and zip-up sports jacket.
She typed atop of the offering shared to her Instagram Stories: “When you find a little spot to hid in for 5 mins..”
Two minutes later Kate then revealed that she was not alone for long as the Ferdinand’s two dogs found her.
Smitten couple Rio and Kate welcomed their new baby before Christmas and Kate has admitted she’s had a difficult time since becoming a mum.
At the start of January, Kate posted a sweet note from step-daughter Tia urging her to stop crying.
Emotional Kate shared the note with her followers to reach out to any struggling mums and step-mums in lockdown.
She wrote: “Just when I thought the screaming baby would drown out the sound of my tears, I get this through the door as if I wasn’t emotional enough.
“To new mums, mums, step mums … and anyone who is struggling in lockdown, I feel you! Sometimes we just need to sneak in our room and have a little cry… even then, because of lockdown, we may have lots of little ears listening in.”
However, Kate admitted she feels incredibly lucky to have built her family with Rio.
She added: “A mix of the new baby, lockdown, kids at home and lack of sleep have well and truly got me.
“I feel like I’m a robot going through the same routine daily, feed baby, wind baby, wait for him to wake and repeat.
“Don’t get me wrong I am blessed to live the life I do; a husband, 4 beautiful kids, 2 dogs (1 that’s still protesting because of baby!!) … some moments I’m feeling amazing and full of love, but I’m too often left feeling low, like I can’t escape.”
She put her low mood down to tiredness, the stress of her emergency C-section and the third national lockdown – thanking Rio and the kids for supporting her through the difficult times.
